ATOL Protection

After the collapse of lowcostholidays, we wanted to remind our clients that their money is safe when booking with Skylord Travel. We are a UK registered company and our ATOL number is 3550 and every one of our holiday packages is covered under our ATOL (Air Travel Organisers License).

When you booking an ATOL protected holiday, you'll receive an ATOL certificate at the time of booking and payment. You'll need to keep this on hand to make any future claims.

Every one is of course free to make their own choices but we wanted to remind readers, that if you self book your package by combining your own flight and hotel, you'll have virtually no protection should something go wrong. Like wise, if you book with an offshore travel company and something goes wrong you have zero protection.

Always look out for an ATOL protected logo or check an ATOL on the Civil Aviation Authority website before booking your next holiday.

Below is a defination of ATOL from the Civil Aviation Authority website.

By law, every UK travel company which sells air holidays and flights is required to hold an ATOL, which stands for Air Travel Organiser’s Licence.

If a travel company with an ATOL ceases trading, the ATOL scheme protects customers who had booked holidays with the firm. It ensures they do not get stranded abroad or lose money.

The scheme is designed to reassure consumers that their money is safe, and will provide assistance in the event of a travel company failure.
